Geogrid

Geosynthetic formed by polymeric structural elements consisting of strips organized in a regular open structure, which are mainly used to distribute loads in reinforcement and consolidation applications of soils with low bearing capacity. They can be biaxial or uniaxial, depending on whether the tensile strength is exerted in both directions of manufacture or only in one, respectively; and rigid (polypropylene or high density polyethylene) or polyester, according to their flexibility.
